Zeng Guoqiang, Han Chinese, born in July 1980 in Fuding, Fujian, is a professor and doctoral supervisor with a Ph.D. He oversees undergraduate teaching, education evaluation and supervision, campus planning and construction, and network and information management.

Zeng began his career in July 2005 and joined the Communist Party of China in December 2000. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Electronic Instrumentation and Measurement, a master’s degree in Measurement and Instrumentation, and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Resource Exploration and Nuclear Engineering, all from CDUT. Over the years, he has held various positions at CDUT, including Deputy Director and Director of the University Innovation Education Base, Head of Scientific Research at the College of Nuclear Technology and Automation Engineering, Vice Dean of the College of Nuclear Technology and Automation Engineering, Director of the Network and Information Management Office, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Dean of the College of Nuclear Technology and Automation Engineering. In June 2024, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC CDUT Committee and Vice President of CDUT.

Zeng Guoqiang’s research focuses on nuclear radiation detection technology, instruments, and equipment in the fields of nuclear energy and nuclear technology applications. He has led over 20 national and provincial-level research projects, including projects under the 11th and 12th Five-Year National 863 Programs, the 13th and 14th Five-Year National Key R&D Programs of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National 420 Special Program, and major science and technology projects in Sichuan Province. He has also managed more than 30 enterprise-commissioned projects. His contributions have been recognized with six provincial-level scientific research awards, including a First Prize of the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, a National Teaching Achievement Award, and two Sichuan Provincial Teaching Achievement Awards. Zeng holds 29 authorized invention patents, three of which have been commercialized. He has published over 100 academic papers, with more than 50 indexed in SCI/EI, and has authored three textbooks and monographs. His professional affiliations include serving as Vice President of the Chinese Nuclear Society, a member of the Teaching Steering Committee for Nuclear Engineering Programs under the Ministry of Education, Deputy Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Teaching Steering Committee for Energy, Power, and Nuclear Engineering, and recognition as a Tianfu Leading Talent in Scientific and Technological Innovation. Zeng is also a member of the editorial boards for the journals Nuclear Electronics & Detection Technology and China Measurement & Test.
