College  of Management Science

The College of Management Science is developed from the former Department of Management Science set up in 1985. Under the guidance and support of the University's Party and Administration, the College's faculty and students has carried forward the spirit of "initiative, persistence, and forging ahead with resolve", and focused on the objectives of "Three Strengths" which are strengths in "versatile talents and innovative talents cultivation, fundamental research and applied research, and social services and intelligent support", making outstanding achievements in disciplinary building, specialty development, scientific research and talent cultivation. It consists of the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Electronic Commerce, the Department of Human Resource Management, the Department of Logistics Management, the Department of Big Data Management, and the Division of China-UK International Cooperation Education Program. Currently, offers 6 undergraduate specialties including Business Administration, which is under the China-UK International Cooperation Education Program, and an associate specialty: Business Management; for the primary discipline of Management Science and Engineering, it is qualified to offer master's and doctor's degrees and has a postdoctoral research station, and for the primary discipline of Business Administration, it's qualified to offer master's and professional master's degrees (including fields of Engineering Management, Project Management, Industrial Engineering and Management, and Logistics Engineering and Management).

Composed mainly of young and mid-aged teachers who feature vitality, solidarity and innovation, the College faculty has 89 teachers with 69% possessing a senior position title, 58% holding a doctoral degree, 1 Outstanding expert of Sichuan Province, 2 provincial specially-hired experts, and 1 reserve candidate for the provincial academic and technological leaders; it also hired more than 20 domestic and foreign experts and scholars including Chen Yuchuan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. There are more than 2,000 undergraduates and more than 400 master's and doctoral students enrolled in the College which tops the rankings in terms of graduate employment rate and postgraduate admission rate.

It operates the provincial Humanities and Social Sciences Base of the Sichuan Mineral Resources Research Center, the municipal key research base of the Chengdu Park City Demonstration Zone Construction and Research Center, the Demonstration Center for Experimental Teaching on Economic Management of Sichuan Province, and 5 research institutes including the Institute of Electronic Commerce, the Institute of Systems Science and Engineering, the Institute of Financial Economics and Financial Engineering, the Institute of Professional Managers, and the Institute of Enterprise Resource Planning. In addition, it also operates the CDUT branch of Sichuan Intellectual Property Tele-education Platform and Sichuan Intellectual   Property Training   Center (of CDUT).
