Alumni! Get ready to sign up! CDUT invites you back to play football!
The “Alumni Cup” Football Fellowship Tournament began in October 2020 and has successfully held three sessions continuously. The main purpose of this match is to “celebrate the birthday of CDUT, to unite the strength of the alumni, and to promote the spirit of sports,” and thus it was made to a traditional activity for CDUT’s anniversary.
In early 2022, the alumni of CDUT in Chengdu spontaneously formed the “CDUT Memory Football Team,” whose members are all interested in playing football and have graduated from 1983 to 2015. Currently with 210 members, the team organizes regular football friendly matches every week. The members gather together to play football, to exercise, and to reminisce about the years at CDUT, giddy with happiness.
In June 2023, the team, supported by the Alumni Association of CDUT, participated for the first time in the tournament held by “China University Football Association (CUFA)” in Sichuan Province. The participating players, adhering to the spirit of CDUT, “Do not fall behind anyone, and strive to be the first,” strove hard shoulder to shoulder. With excellent results, they finally entered the eighth finals as the champion of the phrase one and the runner-up of the phrase two in the group stage.
Details
The schedule is divided into three modules, using a ranking points system to determine the final standings. (The organizing committee will formulate and timely release the final match schedule based on entry status.)
Module 1: Football Carnival
This module includes four events: 100-meter Face-to-Face Relay, Fun Bowling, Football Sudoku, and Fun Penalty Kicks. Each team consists of 10 people, scored according to ranking.
Module 2: Foursome Match Play
Each team sends a representative team with two to four members, scored according to ranking.
Module 3: Eight-a-side Football Match
Each half is 20 minutes with a Three-on-three Penalty Kick during halftime, scored according to ranking.

Day One:
13:00: Opening Ceremony
13:30 - 15:30: Football Carnival
15:40 - 16:40: Foursome Match Play (Phase One)
16:50 - 18:00: Eight-a-side Football Match (Phase One)
19:00 - 20:30: First General Meeting of CDUT Alumni Football Association
Day Two:
9:00 - 11:00: Eight-a-side Football Match (Phase Two)
11:00 - 12:00: Foursome Match Play (Phase Two)
13:30 - 16:30: Eight-a-side Football Match (Phase Three)
17:00: Closing Ceremony
Tournament Regulations
●The average age of all participating players in each event must be over 35. The organizing committee reserves the right to cancel results for violations of this rule.
●In the Three-on-three Penalty Kicks during halftime of the Eight-a-side Football Match contributes directly to the overall score.
●Each team in the Eight-a-side Football Match has one substitution opportunity for each half and one during each halftime, without restrictions on the number of players yet with adherence to the first rule.
●During the Eight-a-side Football Match, a yellow card incurs a fine of RMB 100, and a red card incurs a fine of RMB 300. These fines are to be collectively submitted to the organizing committee for event expenses.
Entry Guidelines
●Team names must include the department or faculty the alumni belonged to.
●Players must be graduates of CDUT, with no age limit, but the an average age of the players in any event must be over 35 during the matches.
●There is no limit to the entry and gender.
●Participating teams shall purchase insurance and cover transportation and accommodation at their own expense.
