To ease the incoming international students of 2023 into their life at Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT), on September 13, 2023, the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation organized an orientation session for them. It was their first class in CDUT, where a brand new journey was about to begin.

Firstly, the staff from the Office of International Student Management extended a warm welcome to the freshmen from all around the world. The orientation session was divided into two main parts. The first part covered various topics, including Chinese laws and regulations, university rules and regulations, regulations for international students in CDUT, academic discipline, international student health insurance, scholarship evaluations, dormitory safety.

The second part focused on a detailed explanation of the university's student management system and procedures, including course selection and how to use the curriculum plan.

Following this, HANI MEREE (Chinese name: Han Ni) and RAHMAN MD ATIQUR (Chinese name: Li Ren), as student representatives, shared their experiences of studying at CDUT, offering insights into academic and daily life. They encouraged the new students to overcome challenges, work hard in their studies, and strive for a good harvest.

Finally, to help these freshmen adapt to life and studies at CDUT more quickly, the staff from the Office of International Student Management organized a campus tour, including visits to the library and the university's historical museum. Through this campus tour, they aimed to guide the students in better understanding, adapting to, and integrating into the university environment. The international students of 2023 expressed their anticipation and excitement for their life and studies at CDUT.
