Autumn arrived and the new semester began. From September 1st to 8th, the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation (DIEC) of Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) organized teachers and volunteers to conduct orientation activities for new international students who came from afar. The registration site was well-organized in a lively atmosphere.

At the registration points, DIEC teachers provided heartwarming, attentive and convenient services to the arriving new students. They answered questions, helped with registration formalities, such as information collection, accommodation arrangements, insurance purchases and visa document processing, and distributed orientation material packs so that the new international students could quickly adapt to campus life and integrate into CDUT as an international family.

"I arrived in Chengdu at 10 P.M., but the teachers from the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation were there for me. I am so moved," said ZAID, one of the new students, at registration. Considering that many new students came to China for the first time, DIEC organized a volunteer team of Chinese and international students to pick up the new students in batches from the airport during the orientation period, and they helped the new students successfully arrive at the registration points.

After the new students completed the registration formalities and moved into their dormitories, DIEC international student counselors and teachers visited international students' dormitories on the evening of September 7th, where they inquired about how the students felt after coming to CDUT, had warm discussions with them and helped them prepare for a successful academic journey at CDUT.
