Aiming to enhance international communication and elevate the standard of CDUT's overseas programs, an online dialogue on Chinese course cooperation was convened on the evening of September 11 between CDUT and the University of Santiago, Chile. Attendees included Li Shan, Dean of the College of International Education (Oxford Brookes College), Liu Yongzhi, Dean of the College of Foreign Languages & Cultures, Liu Hao, Staff Member of the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation, Cristina Moyano, Dean of the College of Humanities at the University of Santiago, Chile, and Fabian Pizarro, head of the Chilean "Efecto China" (China Effect) multimedia project. The meeting was chaired by Liu Hao. Li Shan provided a comprehensive overview of CDUT to her Chilean colleagues, extended a warm welcome to the representatives from Chile, and conveyed her enthusiastic expectations for future inter-university collaboration. Following this, Liu Yongzhi detailed the educational endeavors of the college, highlighting its strengths and unique features in Chinese language instruction and scientific research, thereby establishing a robust foundation for collaborative efforts between the two institutions.

Liu Hao provided an in-depth overview of the curriculum and teaching plans for the overseas Chinese language instruction at CDUT, and shared the successful case of online Chinese courses in collaboration with the Central University of Ecuador, which piqued the interest of the University of Santiago, Chile. Cristina Moyano responded enthusiastically, showing a keen interest in the prospect of CDUT offering Chinese courses at the University of Santiago, and expressed her desire for both institutions to join forces to effectively advance their cooperation.

Fabian Pizarro also expressed his commitment, stating that as an envoy dedicated to fostering Sino-Chilean cultural exchanges, he would fully support the collaboration between the two universities and is eager to contribute to the promotion of Chinese language education and Chinese culture in Chile. Li Shan suggested that both parties should further enhance their dialogue and work together to advance multi-dimensional and multi-domain cooperation through the signing of memoranda of understanding and Chinese language course agreements. The conversation between CDUT and the University of Santiago has not only deepened the mutual understanding between the two institutions but also paved the way for broad future collaboration. Both universities are poised to proactively explore cooperation in the field of Chinese language education, as well as in scientific research, personnel exchange, and other areas.
