Recently, Li Jun, Deputy General Manager of the Ecuador Branch of CNPC Chuanqing Drilling Engineering Company (CDEC), visited Central University of Ecuador (UCE) on behalf of CDUT. During his visit, he met with Dr. Patricio Espinosa, the newly appointed President, and Dr. Julieta Logroño, the Academic Vice President.

Li Jun also visited Dr. Elías Ibadango, the newly appointed Dean of the Faculty of Geology, Mines, Petroleum, and Environmental Engineering (FIGEMPA, Facultad de Ingeniería en Geología, Minas, Petróleo y Ambiente), and Dr. Wilson Chiluiza, the newly appointed Director of the Linguistics Academic Center.

In the meeting, Li Jun held constructive discussions with the deans and directors about advancing the ongoing university-enterprise cooperation and implementing the relevant agreements. Both parties reached a preliminary agreement on initiating joint master’s and doctoral programs and explored the possibility of extending this cooperation to other faculties and disciplines at UCE. This collaboration aims to enhance academic and scientific exchanges between CDUT and UCE. The discussions also highlighted the importance of promoting international exchanges between faculty and students through scholarships and other initiatives, fostering shared advancements in science and technology. Both sides expressed strong support and high expectations for these efforts.
