Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation Visits Sichuan Agricultural University for Research Symposium

On the afternoon of March 20th, Li Shan, Deputy Director of the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation at CDUT, led a delegation to Sichuan Agricultural University for research. During the meeting, both parties exchanged insights on the recruitment, cultivation, and dispatch of international students, including those from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Attendees included Li Shan, Deputy Director from the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation, Ma Lei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the International Education College, Dong Yi, Head of the Comprehensive Section of the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation, Chen Qian, Head of the International Students Management Section of the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation, and Wang Jie, International Student Counselor. Also present were Xia Xinrong, Director of the International Cooperation Office at Sichuan Agricultural University (SICAU), Chen Qing, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office at SICAU, Zhou Zhengzheng, Head of the International Students Management Section of the International Cooperation Office at SICAU, Xiao Xue, Officer of the Exit Management Section of the International Cooperation Office at SICAU, and Li Jie, Officer of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Office at SICAU.

During the meeting, Xia Xinrong elaborated on the recruitment standards, training programs, and enrollment situation of international students at SICAU. She emphasized that strengthening the recruitment and cultivation of international students is not only beneficial for enhancing the internationalization level of SICAU but also promotes cultural exchange and mutual understanding. Furthermore, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the enrollment methods and cultivation approaches for students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, as well as exchanged insights on relevant policies and management measures.

Li Shan engaged in profound discussions with Xia Xinrong and other participants from the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation at SICAU on topics such as the enrollment of international students at CDUT and student dispatch. She also shared our university's recent experiences and practices in student exchange programs abroad. Ma Lei, Dong Yi, and Chen Qian exchanged views and shared insights on the theme and content of this exchange symposium with the participants from SICAU. Both sides expressed their commitment to maintaining close communication and cooperation to jointly advance international exchanges and cooperation between the two universities.

This meeting holds significant importance in promoting the recruitment, cultivation, and dispatch of international students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, thereby contributing to international scientific and technological cooperation. It also deepens communication and connection between CDUT and SICAU, paving the way for building a high-quality international talent cultivation system.
