On March 7th, a delegation led by Deputy Director Li Shan of the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation and Deputy Secretary Ma Lei of the School of International Education visited Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) (Xipu Campus) and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) (Qingshuihe Campus) for a strategic dialogue.
In the morning, the delegation was warmly received by Party Secretary Jiang Jiuwen of the SWJTU-LEEDS Joint School and Vice Dean Li Hai of the School of International Education at Southwest Jiaotong University. The visit included a productive discussion on the joint office model of the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation and the School of International Education, the Sino-foreign cooperative education management system of the SWJTU-LEEDS Joint School, the international student recruitment and development framework, the administration of student exchange programs abroad, and the strategies for attracting foreign experts and intellectual resources.

In the afternoon, the delegation was cordially welcomed by Vice Dean He Qilei of the School of International Education at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). They exchanged views on the organizational framework of the School, pertinent regulations, the nurturing of international and students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, as well as the operational systems and experiences in attracting foreign experts and intellectual resources.
