Source: dice Date:2025.12.25

On December 13, at the Annual Conference of the Educational Informatization Professional Committee of the Sichuan Higher Education Association and the Awards Ceremony for the 2025 “Outstanding Cases in Digital Education Resource Development in Higher Education,” Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) won three major awards. The “Intelligent Agent for Nuclear Electronics Courses” and the “Wenqu Academy AI Capability Platform for Teaching Resources” both received First Prizes, while “Teacher–Student–Machine Collaborative Development of Web Programming Online Courses and Learning Resources” was awarded a Second Prize. More than 300 cases were submitted by universities across Sichuan Province for this evaluation. After rigorous review, 31 First Prizes and 46 Second Prizes were selected. CDUT ranked among the top institutions in both the number and overall quality of awarded projects.

In recent years, the University has actively implemented the 20242035 Master Plan on Building China into a Leading Country in Education and the 2025–2027 Sichuan Provincial Action Plan for Education Digitalization. In early 2025, CDUT took the lead in releasing the Chengdu University of Technology Action Plan for AI-Empowered Innovative Development (2025–2030), established an AI Center, and built a university-wide AI infrastructure platform. Relevant departments have vigorously advanced five key initiatives, including the “Thousand-Hundred-Ten-One Project” and “Smart CDUT,” while implementing seven supporting measures such as AI salons and AI innovation funds. These efforts have fostered a strong campus culture of “AI for everyone, AI used by everyone,” and accelerated the development of three integrated systems: “AI + Scientific Research,” “AI + Talent Cultivation,” and “AI + Intelligent Governance,” yielding remarkable results.

In 2025, achievements related to the “Wenqu Academy” were selected as exemplary application scenarios in the first batch of “Artificial Intelligence + Higher Education” initiatives in Sichuan Province, among seven provincial-and ministerial-level honors. Innovations in AI-empowered talent cultivation were featured in the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education’s Benchmarking and Advancement bulletin and promoted province-wide. In addition, faculty members and students won a total of 12 awards in provincial competitions, including the Teacher Digital Literacy Competition and the First Artificial Intelligence Application Capability Competition organized by the Provincial Department of Education.

These achievements not only highlight CDUT’s sustained exploration and innovative capacity in educational digital transformation, but also offer a replicable and scalable “CDUT model” for universities across Sichuan Province and beyond in advancing digital education resource development and accelerating digital transformation in education.

Looking ahead, the University will continue to deepen the integration of “AI + Education,” empowering teaching through technology, driving decision-making through data, and delivering intelligent services to faculty and students. CDUT remains committed to contributing its expertise and strength to the development of a strong education system and the advancement of smart, digital education.
