On August 22, 2025, CDUT hosted a seminar with China National Offshore Oil Corporation International Ltd. to foster university-enterprise cooperation and accelerate the transformation of scientific research into practical applications. The meeting, held in the Fifth Conference Room of the Yanhu Conference Hall, was attended by Liu Qingyou, Party Secretary of CDUT, Hou Mingcai, Vice President of CDUT, Ren Bo, Executive Vice General Manager of CNOOC International, and Chen Chuang, Vice General Manager of CNOOC International.

Liu Qingyou warmly welcomed Ren Bo and his delegation. He underscored the importance of university-enterprise cooperation as a vital means of talent development and expressed his hopes for a closer partnership between CNOOC International and CDUT. He suggested that cooperation across academic research, platform development, achievement transformation, and technological innovation could achieve an integration of industry and education, leveraging complementary strengths for breakthroughs across several fields.

The seminar marked the beginning of an initiative to strengthen cooperation, with an emphasis on mutual benefit and achieving win-win outcomes.
