At the CDUT Mechanical Discipline Development Forum, experts engaged in in-depth discussions and shared insights on the future direction of CDUT's mechanical disciplines. From various perspectives, they provided valuable suggestions to empower the university’s efforts in talent cultivation, innovative research, and social service.

As global manufacturing undergoes profound transformation, Sichuan stands as a strategic hub for China, backed by trillion-yuan industries in electronics and equipment manufacturing. The province bears the important mission of building the Western Science and Technology Innovation Center. Drawing from its roots in geological exploration engineering, and inspired by projects like the “Mount Everest Plan,” CDUT’s School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has focused on areas such as deep-earth intelligent equipment and precision transmission. The school is transitioning from “single-point breakthroughs” to “system integration,” evolving into a dual-engine discipline driven by mechanical engineering and electronic information. As the organizer of this year’s competitions, CDUT aims to continuously spark the innovative potential of young students and faculty members, injecting fresh energy into the development of the digital economy.
