“Zero threshold” for transferring out of your original major—
No unified exam, but independent evaluations conducted by departments
Transfer available in Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3
However—
No transfers between arts/sports and non-arts/sports majors;
Sino-foreign program students cannot transfer into regular majors;
No transfers between Chengdu and Yibin campuses.

Micro-majors are compact, focused programs outside the national major directory, designed to build specialized skills.
Each micro-major consists of 5-8 core courses, usually completed in 2 semesters.
Breaking the boundaries of traditional disciplines, these programs focus on cutting-edge fields. Students can earn a Micro-Major Certificate upon credit completion.
Designed to equip students with practical, cross-disciplinary skills beyond their main field of study, micro-majors offer strong support for future employment—and the best part is, they’re free of charge.
