Recently, the Oxford Brookes College of Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) successfully passed the Ministry of Education’s qualification evaluation for Chinese-foreign joint educational institutions. This marks the first time CDUT has participated in such an institutional evaluation and successfully passed, demonstrating significant achievements in the quality of joint education, institutional management, and internationalized education efforts.

The university attached great importance to this evaluation. A dedicated working group was established, and under the guidance of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education and the leadership of the University Party Committee, relevant departments and colleges worked in close collaboration. In line with the evaluation requirements, the university conducted a comprehensive review and summary of the program in areas such as educational goals and positioning, Party-building and ideological-political work, governance mechanisms, faculty development, curriculum implementation, and talent cultivation. The team examined the program’s legal compliance, standardization, the effective introduction and utilization of quality educational resources, and overall education quality. A comprehensive report and supporting materials were submitted to ensure a smooth evaluation process.

Taking this evaluation as an opportunity, the college will continue to deepen collaborative work and innovation with Oxford Brookes University in the UK. Efforts will be made to further optimize the curriculum, strengthen faculty development, improve governance mechanisms, and enhance the quality of talent cultivation. The goal is to build a high-quality platform for international cooperation and exchange and to further expand CDUT’s engagement in international education in the new era.
