On March 7, 2024, Sichuan Province convened its Employment Advancement Conference for the 2024 Graduate Cohort in Chengdu. The event was attended by over 300 key figures, including officials from the employment departments of 137 universities across the province and leaders from various units within the Department of Education of Sichuan Province. The conference recognized exceptional performance in the employment sector for the graduates of 2023, with CDUT being awarded the prestigious title of "Outstanding Unit for Graduate Employment in 2023." Additionally, Shi Yi, Director of the Career Center, was honored as an "Outstanding Individual in Graduate Employment for 2023." This year's accolades were bestowed upon 19 universities and 22 individuals for their exemplary contributions to graduate employment initiatives.
CDUT places significant emphasis on employment initiatives, meticulously implementing the crucial directives articulated by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his pivotal inspection tour in Sichuan. We are committed to fully executing the resolutions and strategic arrangements regarding the employment of college graduates set forth by the Central Committee of the Party, the State Council, and the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Sichuan Provincial Government. In line with the directives of the Education Commission of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and the Department of Education of Sichuan Province, CDUT actively spearheads the specialized initiative titled “Secretary and President Visiting Enterprises, Expanding Positions, and Promoting Employment.” Through persistent endeavors to deepen collaboration between academia and industry, CDUT is broadening the horizons of employment avenues for graduates. CDUT’s continuous optimization of the employment mechanism ensures precise alignment between supply and demand, thereby guaranteeing graduates more comprehensive and higher-quality employment opportunities. CDUT has been honored with the title of “National Exemplary University for Graduate Employment” and has consecutively received the accolade of “Advanced Collective for Graduate Employment in Sichuan Province” for seven years running.
