In order to further strengthen organized research in universities, support the discipline construction of Gongga Plan, stimulate innovative vitality, and enhance the university's original innovation capabilities, the Education Department of Sichuan Province recently organized the 2023 round of evaluation for the establishment of key research bases in the humanities and social sciences at the university level in Sichuan. After being reviewed by experts, a total of 15 declared bases were approved. CDUT’s applications for the “Discipline Development Evaluation Research Center” and the “Energy Environment Carbon Neutrality Innovation Research Center” were both approved. CDUT is the only applicant that has been approved for two key research bases in the humanities and social sciences.
As of now, CDUT has been approved for a total of nine key research bases in the humanities and social sciences at the university level in Sichuan, ranking among the top in terms of the number of bases among Sichuan universities. We will effectively implement various construction measures in accordance with the requirements of the Education Department of Sichuan Province for the construction and operation management of research platforms, increase investment, strengthen standardized management, and create favorable research conditions for platform construction. At the same time, fully leveraging the advantages and characteristics of each research base, gathering innovative talents, enhancing organized research, and promoting the development of the university in terms of discipline construction, talent cultivation, social services, and results transformation, will contribute significantly to CDUT’s “Double First-Class” construction and leading economic and social development.
