On the afternoon of January 28th, a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement between CDUT and the Southwestern Institute of Physics (SWIP) was held at Tianfu Smart Valley. Liu Qingyou, Secretary of the Party Committee of CDUT, Xu Qiang, President of CDUT, Liu Ye, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of SWIP, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Tang Qingli, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of CDUT, as well as members of the Party Committee Standing Committee and Vice Presidents Zeng Ying, Ju Nengpan, Zhou Zhongli, were also present. Zhang Bixiang, a member of the Strategic Consulting Committee of CNNC, was in attendance. The event was chaired by Liu Qinghua, Chief Accountant, General Legal Counsel, and CCO of SWIP.

Liu Qingyou expressed his gratitude to SWIP for their long-standing care and support for CDUT's construction and development. He briefly introduced CDUT's development history, disciplinary strengths, and educational characteristics. He mentioned that, as one of the earliest institutions in our country engaged in nuclear science and technology research and talent cultivation, CDUT has achieved a series of high-level research outcomes in nuclear radiation detection, nuclear technology applications, and radiation protection. It has cultivated tens of thousands of high-tech talents in the nuclear industry, making significant contributions to China's nuclear industry. CDUT has been awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Award for Nuclear Industry Talent Cultivation" by CNNC, and its faculty members have been honored on the "China Uranium Industry Merit Roll." The teachers from Nuclear Science and Technology Team have also been recognized as one of the first "Huang Danian-style Teacher Teams among Chinese Universities." He stated that CDUT and SWIP have a long history of cooperation and hopes that the signing of this agreement will serve as an opportunity to further deepen comprehensive and multidisciplinary collaboration, achieving resource sharing, complementary advantages, and mutual benefit.

Xu Qiang stated that CDUT will fully cooperate and support the implementation of the strategic cooperation framework agreement, and work together to advance industry-academia-research collaboration. He emphasized that deepening the integration of industry and education, and promoting industry-academia-research cooperation, are strategic measures to drive the priority development of education, talent-led development, industrial innovation, and high-quality economic growth. These initiatives are interconnected, mutually reinforcing, and mutually beneficial. Both parties should jointly identify the synergies that promote the organic integration of the education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain, seizing the opportunity to build a leading position. He mentioned that the cooperating parties should focus on the integration of science and education, as well as industry and education, strengthen cooperation with enterprises and industries, and promote the integrated development of industry-academia-research. This will enhance the transformation rate and industrialization level of scientific and technological achievements, better serving the national economic development and social progress.

He mentioned that CDUT is one of the earliest institutions in our country to focus on geological sciences and has been selected for two consecutive rounds of the national "Double First-Class" university construction. He congratulated CDUT on its high-quality development achievements since its establishment. He hopes that both parties will deepen their cooperation, pool resources from multiple sources, and work together to create first-class achievements, enhancing collaboration in areas such as technological breakthroughs and discipline construction, and contributing to the acceleration of high-level technological self-reliance.
