On July 21, China Coal Technology Engineering Group (CCTEG) Xi’an Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xi’an Research Institute”) came to our school for the communication forum which is held in Meeting Room 318 in SKLGP(State Key Laboratory of Geological Hazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection). Mr. Liu Cheng, Deputy General Manager of Xi’an Research Institute, Mr. Liu Qingyou, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, President of CDUT (Chengdu University of Technology), and Mr. Xu Qiang, Vice President of CDUT attended the forum. Mr. Xu Qiang held the meeting, during which two sides deeply exchanged on the first-class talent education and project cooperation etc.
On behalf of CDUT, Mr. Liu Qingyou extended warm welcome to Xi’an Research Institute and brief on the School. He said, since 2017 the School had started the construction of double first-class disciplines and started Mount Everest Science Plan. And the School led the country with its research on oil and gas geology, geohazard prevention and control, nuclear technology and safety and mineral resource development. He hoped that the two parties can take this opportunity to strengthen cooperation in talent education, scientific research, scientific and technological achievements transformation, major project application and laboratory sharing and construction, realizing mutual benefit and double win of the two parties.
Mr. Liu Cheng expressed that Xi’an Research Institute was mainly engaged in coal geology and exploration, focusing on coal field development, drilling tools, geophysical instruments and meters, mine water hazard prevention and control, while expanding in geothermal development, coal mining subsidence area treatment etc. He pointed out that the two sides should further establish a mechanism for exchange of talents, jointly exchange and train graduate students, and jointly build a national experimental center to realize cross-border and cross discipline cooperation; jointly complete industrial transformation and establish innovation and entrepreneurship research institute; and jointly take effort in project application and participation in large-scale national projects.
At the meeting, Mr. Cheng Jianyuan, Mr. Hao Shijun, Mr. Jiang Zaiping and Mr. Wang Hao of relevant departments of Xi'an Research Institute respectively introduced their research achievements in the exploration and acquisition of high-precision 3D seismic coalbed methane, logging while drilling technology, directional drilling, transparent geological body, etc. Prof. Xu Qiang, Prof. Li Tianbin and Prof. Wang Xingjian introduced the important achievements in the fields of geological disaster monitoring and early warning, deep tunnel rock burst prediction, ecological restoration technology and oil and gas geology. Prof. Xu Qiang suggested that the two sides should carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of geological disaster prevention and monitoring technology, intelligent drilling and drilling technology, and ecological environment governance technology. Also, he said that the list of cooperation should be clarified through signing the framework agreement, and the implementation should be carried out step by step.
Before the meeting, Mr. Liu Cheng and his party took a tour to State Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Reservoir Geology and Exploitation and SKLGP.
