I. Program Overview

Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) offers undergraduate programs for international students taught in Chinese. The standard duration of study is four years. Students who complete all courses and requirements outlined in the curriculum and successfully defend their thesis will be awarded a bachelor’s degree and a graduation certificate.

II. Academic Calendar

The academic calendar at CDUT comprises two primary semesters: the Fall Semester and the Spring Semester. Fall Semester is from early September to mid-January of the following year. Spring Semester is from late February to mid-July. Exact dates are subject to the university’s academic calendar. The usual time of enrollment for new students is in September each year.

III. Application Period for 2026 Intake

From now on until June 15, 2026. Early submission is encouraged.

IV. Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

1. Be a non-Chinese citizen aged 18 to 26.

2. Be a high school graduate.

3. Be in good physical and mental health with no criminal record.

4. Agree to abide by all Chinese laws and regulations, respect Chinese customs and social ethics, and comply with the rules and regulations of Chengdu University of Technology.

5. Have a Chinese language proficiency of HSK Level 4 or above.

V. Application Procedures

1. Take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA)

Applicants are required to take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA), organized by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). Visit the official CSCA website (www.csca.cn) for details about the test schedule and content. Refer to List of Majors for specific test subjects and language requirement. The deadline for submitting your CSCA score report is May 30, 2026. Early submission is encouraged.

Application steps: Register an account→Submit an online application→Select “Undergraduate (Chinese-taught)” under admission category→Choose your intended major→Fill in all required information and upload the necessary documents

VI. Required Application Materials

Please upload the following materials when applying online:

1. Passport information page (valid for at least 2 years)

2. Recent 1-inch color photo

3. Highest academic diploma. If obtained outside China, the diploma must be notarized and authenticated by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in the issuing country. Current students should provide a certificate of expected graduation and submit the original diploma upon enrollment

4. Academic transcripts for all courses of the highest education level. If obtained outside China, transcripts must be notarized and authenticated by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate

5. Original CSCA test score report

6. HSK Level 4 or above certificate

7. Valid Foreigner Physical Examination Form and blood test report

8. Personal resume

9. Recommendation letter from the applicant’s previous school

10. Financial proof issued by a local bank

11. Certificate of no criminal record issued by the applicant’s home country

12. Other supporting materials (certificates of awards, publications, proof of extracurricular activities, etc.)

Notes:

1. All materials must be in Chinese or English. Documents in other languages must be accompanied by a notarized Chinese or English translation.

2. The university may request additional materials or arrange an interview (phone/video) if necessary.

VII. Fees and Scholarships

1. Tuition and Fees：

(1) Tuition:

Liberal Arts: RMB 4,500/person/year;

Science and Engineering: RMB 5,000/person/year

(2)Accommodation: RMB 1,500/person/year (4-6 students per room; no kitchen facilities; cooking not allowed)

(3) Insurance: RMB 800/year

All students must purchase insurance before applying for residence permits. Students without valid insurance cannot register.

(4) Registration Fee: RMB 600/person (payable upon registration)

2. Scholarships

(1) Sichuan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students

Outstanding international undergraduates may apply during their studies.

(2) Chengdu Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students

Awarded to international undergraduates with excellent academic performance and conduct.

(3) Chengdu University of Technology Living Allowance

Based on academic performance and overall evaluation, selected students may receive a monthly stipend of RMB 800 for 10 months each academic year within the standard four-year study period.

After admission and before registration, passport information cannot be changed.

Any falsification, misrepresentation, or fraud will result in disqualification from admission or expulsion if discovered after enrollment.
