Enrollment Guide for Undergraduate Programs for International Students at Chengdu University of Technology for 2025

I. Program Overview

Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) offers undergraduate programs for international students, taught in Chinese. The basic length of schooling is four years. Students who meet the program's requirements and successfully defend their thesis will be awarded a graduation certificate and a bachelor's degree.

II. Academic Calendar

Each academic year at Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. The autumn semester typically starts in early September and ends in mid-January of the following year, while the spring semester generally begins in late February and concludes in mid-July. Please refer to the University's official academic calendar for specific dates.

III. Application Period

From December 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025

IV. Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, aged between 18 and 30, hold a high school diploma, and be in good health;

2. Applicants must demonstrate Chinese proficiency at HSK Level 4 or higher.

V. Application Procedures

1. Apply online at: https://cdut.at0086.cn/student

2. Select "Create New Account → Online Application → Select an Enrollment Category → Undergraduate (taught in Chinese)" after clicking the link.

VI. Required Documents

Applicants must provide the following documents online:

● Passport's home page

● Highest education certificate (a certificate obtained outside China must be notarized locally and legalized by the Chinese embassy or consulate in the corresponding country);

● Highest education transcript (for an education certificate obtained outside China, the relevant transcript must be notarized locally and legalized by the Chinese embassy or consulate in the corresponding country);

● Language proficiency certificate (HSK Level 4 or above);

● Foreigner Physical Examination Form and Blood Test Report;

● Resume;

● Proof of financial guarantee;

● Certificate of No Criminal Conviction; 

● Other supporting materials (competition awards, published articles, proof of extracurricular activities, etc.)

Notes:

1. All the above documents must be in Chinese or English. If any of them were made in any other language, a Chinese translation must be done by an accredited translation agency (and translations done by individuals are not accepted).

2. The University reserves the right to request additional materials or conduct phone/video interviews with applicants as needed.

VII. Charging Standards and Scholarships

1. CDUT Charging Standards for International Undergraduates

(1) Tuition rate: For undergraduate programs, the tuition is RMB 4,500 per person per academic year for liberal arts and RMB 5,000 per person per academic year for science and engineering.

(2) Accommodation fee: RMB 1,500 per person per academic year; accommodation standard: 4 to 6 undergraduates per room, without a kitchen, no cooking allowed

(3) Insurance premium: RMB 800 per academic year. All students must purchase insurance before applying for residence permits. No registration will be processed for students who fail to purchase insurance as stipulated.

(4) Registration fee: RMB 600 per person, to be paid during registration

2. Scholarship types

(1) Sichuan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students

International undergraduates with excellent academic records and good behavior will apply for the Sichuan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students during their studies.

(2) Chengdu Government Scholarship for International Students

International undergraduates with excellent academic records and good behavior will apply for the Chengdu Government Scholarship for International Students during their studies.

(3) CDUT scholarship

During the four-year duration of study, CDUT will provide 10 months of living allowance per year at the rate of RMB 800 per month for its eligible international undergraduates.
