The First Session of the 1st Academic Committee and the 1st Symposium on Geohazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection in Extreme Environments Held at CDUT

Source: DICE Date:2025.04.07

China is one of the countries most severely affected by geohazards. In recent years, due to frequent and intense earthquakes, extreme climate changes, and large-scale human engineering activities, the occurrence of major geohazards, especially those in extreme environments, has increased.

To mark the completion of the reorganization of the State Key Laboratory of Geohazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection, the First Session of the 1st Academic Committee and the 1st Symposium on Geohazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection in Extreme Environments will be held in Chengdu from March 29 to 30. The conference will focus on key topics such as geohazard mechanisms, engineering disaster dynamics, disaster risk identification, intelligent early warning systems, resilience-based disaster prevention, and emergency disaster reduction. The event aims to promote scientific advancements and the practical application of research findings in these fields.

Conference Themes:

Multi-scale Coupling of Earths Spheres and Disaster Mechanisms

Geohazard Mechanisms Induced by Strong Earthquakes and Extreme Climate Events

Evolutionary Mechanisms and Scenario Simulations of Multi-hazard Chains

Engineering Disaster Mechanisms under Human-Nature Interactions

Ecological Geological Disturbance and Long-term Effects of Major Engineering Projects

Disaster Risk Identification and Intelligent Early Warning

Resilience-based Prevention of Large-scale Compound Disasters and Major Engineering Disasters

Emergency Response Technologies and Equipment for Major Geohazards
