On April 19, the 2025 Job Fair for Foreigners in Chengdu, hosted by the Chengdu Science and Technology Bureau (Foreign Experts Bureau of Chengdu), was successfully held. The event attracted participation from more than 50 renowned companies, offering over 300 high-quality positions in fields such as digital cultural innovation, equipment manufacturing, and cultural education. The College of International Education organized over 60 international students from Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) to attend the job fair, aiming to help them better understand relevant policies and employment opportunities.

International students consulting with company representatives

The job fair buzzed with energy, as foreigners from around the world actively engaged with company representatives. Particularly eye-catching was the traditional culture experience area, where participants could try their hand at painting traditional fans to experience the poetic beauty of Chinese ink art, take part in crafting ronghua (a form of intangible cultural heritage), and even design digital cultural products. This provided an immersive taste of Chengdu’s unique cultural charm. CDUT international students explored booth after booth, experiencing firsthand the fusion of traditional Chinese culture and modern technology. Many students commented that the job fair greatly deepened their understanding of Chinese companies—particularly in terms of company backgrounds, job roles, salaries and benefits, and career development opportunities.

Experiencing traditional Chinese culture

With the continued development of the Belt and Road Initiative, international students are becoming an increasingly vital talent pool for the construction and advancement of related projects. The College of International Education remains committed to cultivating globally minded international youth who are well-versed in Chinese culture, proficient in Mandarin, and equipped with strong professional expertise. Looking ahead, the college will continue to strengthen collaborations with the industry, and work to create an even more supportive environment for international talent to thrive in Chengdu.
