On April 17th, the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation, in collaboration with the International Education College and the College of Foreign Languages & Cultures, successfully held the first Chinese proficiency test for international students at Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT). The purpose of this test was to assess the Chinese proficiency of international students studying in China and to further promote the internationalization of CDUT. A total of 34 international students participated in this test, hailing from over ten countries including Russia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka.

To ensure that the test goes smoothly, the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation, the International Education College, and the College of Foreign Languages & Cultures made adequate preparations. The venue was carefully arranged in advance to ensure a clean and quiet test environment. The entire test was supervised to guarantee fairness and impartiality. During the test, the invigilators diligently fulfilled their duties, maintaining order in the room. The examinees demonstrated high qualities, answering questions seriously and strictly adhering to the test discipline.

CDUT held this Chinese proficiency test for international students to assess their ability to communicate in Chinese in daily life and studies as a non-native language. This not only met the requirements of many international students who are passionate about Chinese language proficiency testing but also provided a platform for showcasing their Chinese language abilities. In the future, CDUT will continue to hold regular Chinese proficiency tests, improve the organization and service levels of the exams, facilitate international students' participation in exams, and continue to contribute to the international promotion of the Chinese language.
