On December 7 and 8, CDUT had the honor of participating in the UniEdu “Study in China” Online Education Exhibition, hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education. This event was intended to provide detailed information to students interested in studying in China about CDUT's enrollment and scholarship policies for international students. The webinar featured enthusiastic interactions between teachers and students, creating a lively atmosphere. This exhibition saw participants from 15 universities within Sichuan and 8 universities and 6 high schools from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, with nearly 2000 students attending the event.
At the opening ceremony of the education exhibition, Luo Shanshan, deputy director of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Office at the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, delivered a speech. She expressed the hope that the exhibition would serve as a platform to better implement the “Belt and Road” Initiative, enhance the educational exchange between universities in Sichuan and the five Central Asian countries, and open the door for students from these countries to study in Sichuan.
At the education exhibition, the staff from the Office of International Student Management, CDUT’s Department of International Exchange & Cooperation introduced the university to students from the five countries. They covered topics such as the general overview of CDUT, enrollment policies for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs for international students, study costs, and scholarship information. In addition, they played promotional videos for CDUT and several of its distinctive academic disciplines. The presentation was primarily targeted at Russian-speaking countries. To ensure smooth communication between teachers and students at the exhibition, the staff from the office also invited Poliakova Mariia, a Russian international student enrolled for CDUT’s Master's program in geology in 2022, to participate in the enrollment presentation. Poliakova shared her enriching and enjoyable study experience at CDUT, stating that it would be a treasured memory in her academic journey. She also encouraged others to pursue their studies in China.
