Liu Qingyou and His Delegation Visited Alumni Enterprises in Shanghai and Held an Alumni Symposium

In order to pass on the friendship of alma mater and gather the strength of alumni, Liu Qingyou, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of CDUT, and his delegation, including Ju Nengpan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of CDUT, visited alumni enterprises (including Shanghai Innovatech Information Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Shunjia Construction (Group) Co., Ltd.) and had a cordial exchange and discussion with alumni in Shanghai on October 23.

Sun Bin, Chairman of Shanghai Innovatech Information Technology Co., Ltd. and an alumnus of Grade 1998 in Information Engineering at CDUT, introduced the development status of their company. He said that their Sichuan Innovatech Intelligent Terminal Industrial Park in Yibin had come into service, and their company had established an in-depth cooperative partnership with the Yibin Campus of our university in terms of talent training and project internship.

During their visit to Shanghai Shunjia Construction (Group) Co., Ltd., the delegation led by Liu Qingyou listened to the introduction of the company's development and operation by Shen Jia, Chairman of Shanghai Shunjia Construction (Group) Co., Ltd. and an alumnus of Grade 1993 in Construction Engineering at CDUT, and visited their 5G Future Center Industrial Park in Pudong New Area, Shanghai.

At the symposium with Shanghai alumni, Zhang Minghua, President of Shanghai Alumni Association and an alumnus of Grade 1990 in Survey Engineering at CDUT, warmly welcomed Liu Qingyou and his delegation and reported the overall development of Shanghai Alumni Association since its establishment. Zhang Mulei, an alumna of Grade 1993 in Business and Economics English at CDUT, introduced the establishment and operation plan of the "Heguang-CDUT" Education Development Fund and expressed her full support for the construction of the CDUT’s Alumni Home.

Ju Nengpan introduced to Shanghai alumni the building of CDUT into "a world first-class university with first-class disciplines" and its relevant campus construction planning. He said that the university had seen fast development in recent years and made great progress in all aspects. Focusing on the objective of developing into "a world first-class university with first-class disciplines", the university has done a solid job on campus construction planning and met the high expectations of our alumni.

Liu Qingyou extended his heartfelt thanks to the alumni for their long-term support of CDUT and felt happy, proud and honored for their achievements in all walks of life. He said that according to the overall guideline of the “Climbing Action”, the university would work hard to build a first-class education system in all aspects and processes; to strengthen the inner construction and continue to promote the Mount Everest Talent Program and the Mount Everest Scientific Research Program; to unite the efforts of alumni and integrate alumni resources to build a higher-quality alma mater - alumni development community with a shared future. He hoped that all alumni, together with CDUT’s faculties and students, would contribute to the comprehensive development of a high-level university with more significant advantages and characteristics.

The participating alumni spoke freely and recalled their unforgettable experiences of studying and living at the university. They also expressed gratitude to the university and said that they would contribute to CDUT’s development in terms of industry, research, transformation of scientific and technological achievements and employment of students, for the purpose of a shared future.

At the symposium, alumni Shen Jia and Zhang Mulei proposed to set up the "Heguang-CDUT" Education Development Fund to reward outstanding teachers who perform very well in teaching and are very popular among students, so as to promote the alumni culture, motivate the development of faculties and students, and facilitate the building of CDUT into "a world first-class university with first-class disciplines", with an initial donation of RMB 1 million.
