On July 18th, 2024, international students from CDUT journeyed to Bazhong to partake in the unveiling ceremony of an internship base, a collaborative endeavor between the Bazhong Cultural Tourism Demonstration Zone and CDUT.
Attending the ceremony were esteemed guests such as Wang Yi, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Bazhong Committee and Secretary of the Working Committee of the CPC in the Cultural Tourism Demonstration Zone and the Woking Committee of Organizations Directly Under the CPC Bazhong Municipal Committee, along with Hu Bing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC CDUT Committee. This joint venture signifies a new chapter in university-regional collaboration, offering fresh impetus to the nurturing of specialized talents and the practical application of academic research.

Post the ceremony, the international students embarked on an exploratory visit to the Bazhong Cultural and Tourism Talents Practical Training Base, immersing themselves in the region’s breathtaking landscapes and rich historical and cultural tapestry.
Ibarhat Okobo Joyce Rold Yannice (Chinese name: Yang Si), hailing from the Republic of the Congo, expressed that this internship provided her with a deeper comprehension of Bazhong’s ecosystem and environmental conservation, in addition to accumulating valuable practical insights.
Emiliano Altamirano Jonathan Omar, a student from Mexico, shared his awe at the experience, stating that in Mexico, one might regard Chinese landscape paintings as surreal, the product of an artist’s fantasy. However, upon witnessing the scenes firsthand, he realized that these landscapes are indeed real, a revelation that he found profoundly fascinating.
The international students, having visited the internship site, pledged to put their academic knowledge into practice in the Bazhong Cultural Tourism Demonstration Zone. This event served not only as a catalyst for cultural exchange and integration, offering a firsthand experience of the profound depth of Chinese ethnic culture to students from diverse backgrounds, but also as a bridge for friendship among the youth of different nations, fostering an essential opportunity for cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.
