Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation and State Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Reservoir Geology and Exploitation of CDUT Successfully Hold an Online Cooperation Dialogue Meeting with Ufa State Petroleum Technological University of Russia
In order to strengthen Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT)'s exchange and cooperation with foreign high-level universities, the Department of International Exchanges & Cooperation(DIEC) and the State Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Reservoir Geology and Exploitation of CDUT successfully held an online cooperation dialogue meeting with Ufa State Petroleum Technological University of Russia (USPTU) on April 20th, at which both sides reached a preliminary cooperation intention on international talent cultivation, exchanges and mutual visits of teachers and students, scientific research and technology cooperation, etc. The meeting was attended by 17 people, including Fan Xuanmei, director of DIEC, and Li Shan, deputy director of DIEC, Nail Chanyshev, vice president for international relations of USPTU, Professor Zhu Haiyan, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Reservoir Geology and Exploitation, and Ye Xiaowei, deputy director, associate research fellow and senior economist of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of Institute for Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Science and Technology Development Strategies, and it was presided over by Li Shan.
Online Cooperation Dialogue Meeting
In her speech, Fan Xuanmei expressed heartfelt thanks for the attention and support of USPTU to the cooperation proposal of CDUT and said that this meeting is not only a pioneering attempt but also lays a solid foundation for both sides to further conduct joint scientific research and promote exchange and mutual learning between teachers and students of both sides.

Nail Chanyshev presented the profile, history, advantageous disciplines and intended cooperation areas of USPTU, expressed the hope to preliminarily sign a memorandum of cooperation with CDUT and sincerely invited CDUT's teachers and students to participate in the anniversary celebration of USPTU. According to him, founded in 1948, USPTU ranks third among Russian petroleum industry institutions of higher education and stably ranks around 50th among Russian universities; its main departments include the Oil Deposit Department, Oil and Gas Pipeline Transportation Department, Production Process Automation Department, Process Department, Construction Engineering Department and Mechanical Engineering Department.
Li Shan presented the profile, international exchange and cooperation, intended cooperation areas and international student courses of CDUT and expressed the hope to effectively promote the joint development of teaching and scientific research between both sides. Zhu Haiyan presented the profile, research fields, facility platforms and intended cooperation areas of CDUT's oil and gas disciplines and expressed the hope to promote the common development of advantageous disciplines of both sides.

Through this cooperation dialogue meeting, CDUT reached a preliminary cooperation intention with USPTU. They plan to sign a university-level memorandum of cooperation in the near future, which will be of great significance to both sides' academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation, teacher/student exchanges and international curriculum construction in the future.
