On April 19, Liu Qingyou, Party Secretary of Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT), and President Xu Qiang led a delegation to Guiyang, where they met with Xu Lin, Party Secretary of Guizhou Provincial, and jointly attended the signing ceremony for the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between the People’s Government of Guizhou Province and Chengdu University of Technology. Guizhou provincial leaders Guo Qiang and Zhang Jingping, along with Tang Qingli, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of CDUT, and Vice Presidents Hou Mingcai and Wen Huaguo, attended the event.
Meeting between the two sides
Xu Lin expressed appreciation for CDUT’s long-standing support for Guizhou’s development. He noted that Guizhou is currently pursuing high-quality development as its overarching goal. The province is advancing the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent cultivation, while leveraging its comparative advantages to further develop its rich mineral resources in a refined and sustainable manner. He expressed hope that the agreement would further strengthen provincial-university cooperation, enhance complementary advantages, and help improve the economic value, innovation capacity, and ecological sustainability of Guizhou’s development.
Liu Qingyou and Xu Qiang thanked Guizhou Province for its support of CDUT and introduced the University’s recent development achievements. They stated that the signing of the agreement marks a new starting point for cooperation and will promote the sharing and co-development of resources, platforms, talent, and technologies, contributing more strongly to Guizhou’s high-quality economic and social development.

President Xu Qiang and Vice Governor Zhang Jingping signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties. Under the agreement, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in areas including mineral exploration and development, geological disaster prevention and control, scientific and technological innovation and achievement transformation, as well as education, teaching, and talent cultivation exchanges.
Representatives from relevant departments and institutions of both CDUT and Guizhou Province attended the event.
