Source: DICE Date:2025.05.30

Recently, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) announced the list of selected Sensing China Practice Bases for 2025. The application submitted by Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT), titled Hevenly Craftsmanship: CDUT World Heritage and Science Popularization Practice Base, was successfully selected.

The base will center around CDUTs Natural History Museum, two State Key Laboratories, and the Center for Scientific and Technological Archaeology. It will integrate world-class heritage sites such as Sanxingdui Site and Dujiangyan Irrigation System, connect with Guizhous ethnic culture and natural ecology, and collaborate with partners such as Greatwall Drilling Company of China National Petroleum Corporation and the Sichuan International Friendship Cities Cultural Exchange Center. Together, they will form a 1+1+N matrix-style resource platform. Serving as a gateway for international students in China to experience Chinese science and culture, the base will feature a three-pronged program of scientific practice + cultural experience + ecological protection, helping students gain a deeper understanding of Chinas development model and offering a vivid and comprehensive view of the country.

In recent years, CDUT has been committed to building its Study at CDUT brand, placing talent cultivation at the core while pursuing high-quality and sustainable development. In response to President Xi Jinpings heartfelt message to international students in China, CDUT will leverage this opportunity to further build the Sensing China program. The university aims to provide international students with a genuine, multi-dimensional picture of China, fostering globally minded youth who understand, appreciate, and engage with the country, and who can serve as articulate ambassadors of Chinas story to the world.
