Professor Li Chao of ISG at CDUT Inscribed on Elsevier’s 2023 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” List

In a recent unveiling by the eminent publishing house Elsevier, the 2023 roster of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers has surfaced. Notably, Professor Li Chao, hailing from the Institute of Sedimentary Geology (ISG) at CDUT, secured a coveted spot!

This esteemed catalog, co-published by Elsevier and ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, draws upon data gleaned from Elsevier citations and Scopus indexing databases. Its comprehensive analysis meticulously discerns the scholarly trajectory of Chinese academics across various stages of their research journey.

A total cohort of 5,801 luminaries graces the 2023 edition of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers, representing a nexus of 496 academic bastions, corporate entities, and research hubs. Encompassing 10 disciplines and 84 primary subjects delineated by the Ministry of Education, this years cohort includes 103 distinguished minds in the realm of geology.
