An Undergraduate Team from College of Tourism and Urban-Rural Planning CDUT Publishes an Academic Paper in Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering, an A&HCI Journal
An undergraduate team from the College of Tourism and Urban-Rural Planning, Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) has recently published an academic paper titled "The transformation of microclimate adaption in public spaces by smart ventilation approach: a case study of Eastern Banlieue Memory Industrial Park, China" in the Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering, an A&HCI Journal. The paper is a subsequent research result of the CDUT-Warriors' competition entry that was ranked in the top three in the Chinese zone of the WeGo Smart City Champions hosted by the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) in 2022. The research team members include the instructor Associate Professor Li Yanju (corresponding author) and undergraduate students Xie Hao (first author), Liu Yongjie, Zhong Peiqing, Liu Huanhuan, Li Chaolong and Xie Enkang from the Urban-Rural Planning major of the class of 2019.

This teaching and research project was funded by the 2020 Chinese Sichuan Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department Overseas Students Startup Fund, Sichuan Provincial Social Science Fund [SC22B173], Chengdu University of Technology 2022 Graduate Quality Engineering Project [2022YJG027] and Chengdu University of Technology young and middle-aged backbone teacher program. A good training chain of "teaching-research-competition-paper" has been formed in CDUT through years of industry-university-research practice. The research report of the result: "Sunbird" - Transformation of Microclimate Adaptation in Chengdu Public Spaces Based on Low-carbon Intelligent Ventilation will participate in the 18th "Challenge Cup" National Undergraduate Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition.
