I. Program Overview
Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) offers postgraduate programs instructed in Chinese and English for international students. The basic length of schooling is three years for postgraduate students and four years for doctoral students. Students who complete the training program requirements and pass their thesis/dissertation defense will receive a graduation certificate and a master's or doctoral degree.
II. Academic Calendar
Each academic year at Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. The autumn semester typically starts in early September and ends in mid-January of the following year, while the spring semester generally begins in late February and concludes in mid-July. Please refer to the University's official academic calendar for specific dates.

VI. Required Documents
Applicants must provide the following documents online:
● Passport's home page
● Highest education certificate: A bachelor's degree certificate required for master's program applicants; bachelor's degree and master's degree certificates required for doctoral program applicants (a certificate obtained outside China must be notarized locally and legalized by the Chinese embassy or consulate in the corresponding country);
● Highest education transcript (for an education certificate obtained outside China, the relevant transcript must be notarized locally and legalized by the Chinese embassy or consulate in the corresponding country);
● Academic recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors;
● Language proficiency certificate;
● Foreigner Physical Examination Form and Blood Test Report;
● Curriculum Vitae;
● Study plan for master's/doctoral degree;
● Proof of financial guarantee;
● Certificate of No Criminal Conviction;
● Other supporting materials (competition awards, published articles, proof of extracurricular activities, etc.)
Note: 1.All the above documents must be in Chinese or English. If any of them were made in any other language, a Chinese translation must be done by an accredited translation agency (and translations done by individuals are not accepted).
2.The University reserves the right to request additional materials or conduct phone/video interviews with applicants as needed.
VII. Charging Standards and Scholarships
1. CDUT Charging Standards for International Postgraduates
(1) Tuition rate:
For postgraduate students, the tuition is RMB 18,000 per person per academic year for liberal arts and RMB 19,800 per person per academic year for science and engineering.
For doctoral students, the tuition is RMB 22,000 per person per academic year for liberal arts and RMB 24,000 per person per academic year for science and engineering.
(2) Accommodation fee: RMB 1,500 per person per academic year; accommodation standard: 2 doctoral students per room; 4 postgraduate students per room, without a kitchen, no cooking allowed.
(3) Insurance premium: RMB 800 per academic year. All students must purchase insurance before applying for residence permits. No registration will be processed for students who fail to purchase insurance as stipulated.
(4) Registration fee: RMB 600 per person, to be paid during registration
2. Scholarship types
CDUT offers diverse scholarship types for outstanding international students to apply for:
(1) Chinese Government Scholarship
Doctoral and master's degree applicants with outstanding performance will apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship.
(2) Sichuan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students
International graduates with excellent academic records and good behavior will apply for the Sichuan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students during their studies.
(3) Chengdu Government Scholarship for International Students
International graduates with excellent academic records and good behavior will apply for the Chengdu Government Scholarship for International Students during their studies.
(4) CDUT scholarship
The CDUT scholarship will be provided to master's and doctoral degree applicants on merit, who have excellent academic records and meet CDUT's criteria. CDUT scholarship recipients are exempt from registration, tuition, and accommodation fees, with insurance premiums covered by CDUT.
During the prescribed duration of study (three years), CDUT will provide 10 months of living allowance per year at the rate of RMB 1,000 per month for its eligible postgraduate students.
During the prescribed duration of study (four years), CDUT will provide 10 months of living allowance per year at the rate of RMB 1,500 per month for its eligible doctoral students.
(5) If doctoral and postgraduate students participate in the supervisor's scientific research projects, the supervisor will give appropriate subsidies according to the project situation and the actual contribution of the students.
