Our University Successfully Held the 5th International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence (PRAI 2022)
2022 the 5th International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, PRAI 2022 was held online from August 19 to August 21, 2022. The conference was sponsored by Chengdu University of Technology and organized by College of Computer Science and Cyber Security , Department of International Exchange & Cooperation, Institute of Science, Technology & Development, Chengdu University of Technology, and co-organized by IEEE, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tianjin University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Xi'an Institute of Microelectronics Technology, Sichuan University of Science and Engineering, Jiangsu University, China West Normal University, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Xihua University.
Prof. Ju Nengpan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the CDUT, delivered a welcome speech. Prof. Ju extended sincere welcome and greetings to the guests, briefly introduced Chengdu University of Technology and wished the conference a complete success. Research Fellow Tang Lei, Director of Xi'an Institute of Microelectronics Technology, gave an opening speech of the conference. Mr. Chen Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Joint Party Committee of Social Organizations of the Sichuan Association for Science and Technology, delivered a speech expressing the support of the Sichuan Association for Science and Technology for the convening of the conference. Prof. Yan Junchi from Shanghai Jiaotong University delivered a speech on behalf of the Organizing Committee, and Prof. Liu Mingzhe presided over the opening ceremony.
The keynote report and invited report were jointly presided by Prof. Rao Yunbo from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Prof. Cheng Keyang from Jiangsu University, Prof. Zhang Changqing from Tianjin University, and Dr. Ma Zhong from Xi'an Institute of Microelectronics Technology. A number of people were invited to give keynote report including Prof. Pan Zhigeng from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Prof. Simon X. Yang from University of Guelph, Canada, Prof. Zhu Ce from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Prof. Ruili Wang from Massey University, New Zealand, Dr. Lyu Zhihan from Uppsala University, Sweden, Prof. Wang Gaige from Ocean University of China, Dr. Hu Shizhe from Zhengzhou University, and Dr. Zhang Lingshi from the Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company.
The conference presented a total of 23 symposiums, including: pattern recognition and machine learning, computer vision and robot vision & image, voice, signal and video processing, biomedical image analysis and application, artificial intelligence and network security, etc. About 300 scholars and postgraduate students from 15 countries including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Russia, Egypt, the Philippines, and India participated in the conference, and 215 academic papers were accepted. Upon the conclusion of PRAI 2022, the papers will be collected submitted to IEEE for publication, included in IEEE Xplore, and indexed by EI Compendex and Scopus.
