On October 31, 2024, a distinguished delegation from the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, including Kate Galati, Senior Manager of Business Development on the Board of UQ College, and Angela Huang, Regional Manager of the Faculty of Science, visited the College of International Education (Oxford Brookes College, OBC) of CDUT. They engaged in a dialogue with Li Shan, Dean of OBC, and Zhong Yingjia, Executive Vice Dean of OBC from the UK side.

Li extended a warm welcome to the UQ representatives and provided an overview of the development and distinctive educational features of CDUT and OBC. The discussions between the two parties covered a range of topics, including inter-institutional collaboration, faculty and student development, and international engagement. They reached a consensus to initiate dual-degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels in fields such as environmental science, geology, materials chemistry, and physics. Additionally, they aim to actively promote short-term initiatives like overseas study tours, research programs abroad, and summer exchange programs, thereby offering OBC students access to a broader spectrum of international educational opportunities and charting new courses for the cultivation of high-caliber international talents.
