Event Overview

On October 27th, the “Elocnte in Chengdu, Embrace Tianfu” 2024 Chengdu City-wide Recitation Competition, co-hosted by Chengdu Language Network Committee and Chengdu Federation of Literary and Art Circles, took place at the Library of Gaoxin District. Five international students from CDUT distinguished themselves, securing three first prizes, one second prize, and one third prize.

The competition aimed to offer a platform for recitation enthusiasts to display their talents, delve into the urban growth narrative through the art of recitation, and perpetuate the rich legacy of traditional Chinese culture. Our students’ recitations were emotionally charged and deeply moving, bringing the essence and sentiment of the poetry to life with such finesse that they captivated the audience and earned the judges’ commendation.
